Bottle cap necklaces

I am getting ready for my favorite season and with it comes all the great Craft Fairs. This is my second year at the Swamp Yankee Days Festival in Ashaway, RI and this year I am making bottle cap necklaces in addition to many Stampin' Up items. I used Stampin' Up crystal effects to adhere the various images-Ed Hardy, Angry Birds and Spongebob shown. The top photo also shows a box that is all over the web now using the Stampin' Up milk carton die. This was a gift for my nephew Brady. If you are local to RI, stop by the fair and say hi! It is 9/24/11 and 9/25/11 from 9-5 p.m.

Vintage Vogue Pocket Card

I cased this from the fabulous Lorri Heiling www.stampingaddict.blogspot.com with a few changes-I used the vintage vogue stamp set for the pocket and embossed it to give it a little pop! This was a perfect birthday card for my 20 y.o. niece Breanna-you could also fit a gift card in the pocket, but cash also works :) Don't you love the little "levi" tag?

SIMPLY SOFT

I am so thankful that the vintage look is all the rage now as I love, love the style. I wanted to play with some new toys so I took out my brand spankin new stamp set called Simply Soft. It is so pretty and I can picture using it so many different ways. I used early espresso cardstock, cajun craze and whisper white. The DSP is from Paisley Petals and the flower was stamped in the new calypso coral, which goes awesome with cajun craze! I distressed the edges of the paper and used a sponge to blend espresso ink on the sides to give it that worn look. I also used a new embossing folder for the frame. Add a few pearls and voila! Enjoy!

SUNFLOWER SHADOW BOX

I can't believe it has been sooo long since my last post. Life has been a little busy lately, but included a well needed vacation to Arizona, so I can't complain. When I returned I had a wonderful sampling of new items from the IB & C and one of my absolute favorite stamps is the new Sunflower. My co-worker, Maureen, has accepted a new job and I wanted to make her a little something to wish her luck. She is Irish, so I found this great little Irish Blessing to include.

I stamped the sunflower in black staz-on, then used the blender pens and markers. I also used the large scallop punch for the center "flowers". She started crying when she opened it. One of the reasons I love giving handmade gifts is because it is from the heart & people appreciate it. Have a good day :)

VINTAGE VOGUE

I made 81 of these 3 x3 cards for a Convention swap and while I am unable to attend Convention this year (sigh) my sweet Sideline Rose volunteered to swap these for me. I used my stand by Vintage Vogue with Baja Breeze Ink and the awesome seam binding ribbon in Pear Pizzazz.

CIRCLE CIRCUS

This is a set that I have not used very much and I have no idea why-I love it. The beautiful blue that you see is brand spanking new In Color in the new catalog premiering July 1, 2011 called Pool Party and trust me it is even prettier in person-don't you just love the name too? I also used an old stand by Vintage Vogue, which thankfully has not been retired. This is my invitation to my catalog premier party on July 9, 2011. If you live in the RI/CT area and would like to attend, send me an email-we would love to have you!

FLIRTATIOUS SPECIALTY DSP

I LOVE the bright pink color in this new designer series paper from the brand new catalog released July 1, 2011! The center lace is actually a 12 x 12 sheet of paper that you can cut into 36 pieces-it is also double sided if you want white. The lace on the side is a brand new lace punch and is quickly becoming my new favorite! Wait until you see the new catalog, you won't be disappointed. If you do not have a demonstrator and would like a catalog, feel free to email me! Have a good day.

PETAL CONE ICE CREAM CONE

These ice cream cones are all over the web and I just love them! I participate in a monthly punch art swap and this month's theme was summertime-what is more appropriate than an ice cream cone! I used the large scallop punch to create the top and cut them in half. I am very happy with how it turned out. The DSP is a sneak peek from the new catalog -(notice the purple :)

FATHER'S DAY FISHING VEST

My Dad loves fishing and goes any chance he can (now that he is retired!). I saw these cool fishing vest cards on Splitcoaststampers and thought I'd try it. I added some lures to give it a 3-d effect-plus I figured he could actually use them! He got a kick out of it. Have a good day!

WISTERIA WONDER

anyone who knows me knows I LOVE purple-my bedroom is purple, etc. When Stampin' Up! retired several light purples, I was bummed! Now, I am happy as they brought back the most beautiful color purple-like a shade of lilac and it coordinates perfectly with concord crush. This card uses brand new designer series paper and the wisteria wonder cardstock and ink. Hopefully will work on some more new projects to show! If you live in the area and would like to come to my open house, send me an email. I would love to have you.

IT'S HERE IT'S HERE

That is all I am going to show you. It officially doesn't post until July 1, 2011, but I received the o.k. to give out the advanced order catalogs to my customers on 6/20/11. You will NOT be disappointed, it is amazing! Lots of new stamps, embellishments, designer paper is to die for! I am planning an open house in July where we will case projects from the new catalog. More to come on that later.

My father's shadow box

My dad is very supportive in all that I do, but especially supportive of my stampin' up! demo, as he knows how much joy it brings me. I wanted to make him a little thank you for always being there and put together this shadow box. My dad is on the left in his airforce uniform and with his mom on the right. He loved it!

Andrew's First Communion Favor

My boss asked me to make favors for her son Andrew's First Communion and this is what I came up with:
I also made bookmarks but forgot to take a picture. On the back is a stamped silver cross. They really liked them!

Collage Frames for craft fair

I saw a similar idea on Jills card creations and decided to try my own version for the fair, I really love making these and am going to make all different sayings.

PETAL CONE MOBILE

I just bought the bigshot as I could not wait any longer! I knew the first die I would buy would be the petal cone. There is sooo much you can do with it. I fell in love with this mobile when I saw it on creatingwithcarol's blog. She is amazingly creative. If you have not checked it out yet you are in for a treat! I made this for my daughter's favorite teacher (who also lives down the street) who is expecting her first baby-gender unknown, What do you think?

BLISS

The sale-a-bration set Bliss is quickly becoming one of my favorite! It is soooo versatile. I made this card for my co-worker and it is a case of one I saw on Frenchie's site. Use a sticky note to mask off the area you want and use dark to light shades of ink. I then used versamark and white embossing powder. All SU products.

Sense of Time Clock (2nd one)

I made this clock for my stepmother's birthday-a gift from my Dad and they liked how it turned out. She loves Victorian, so I chose shades of pinks and burgundy. This one came together much easier than my first one. So I guess it's true what they say-practice makes perfect! :)

EASTER PROJECTS

I saw this little Easter Egg tree somewhere in blogville, but don't remember where. If it is you, please let me know so I can give you credit. Found a twig in my yard that had a few branches and heat embossed the egg stamp from the Easter Blessings set-used a glass candle votive holder and VOILA!
This next one is a glass block (love altering glass blocks) that I drilled the bottom out and inserted white lights. I used SU Vinyl in white and my Cricut for the Bunny and Happy Easter.

ALTERED CLEAR STAMP CASE

I made this clear stamp case for an associate who is pregnant with her second boy. I know how much you need thank you cards during this time so I inside are four baby boy appropriate cards and envelopes. She seemed to really like it.

MINI JOURNALS

I love altering boring black and white composition journals with the beautiful SU cardstock and embossing folders. I will be selling these at my upcoming fair, but also made them for my co-workers to keep track of our weight loss challenge. I thought they would make great food journals (as long as we really write down everything we eat :)!

Craft Fair

FABRIC PINS IN ALL DIFFERENT COLORS! My daughter is too old for headbands but I
remember the days when she LOVED them
and I think the little girls will love these in all different colors.

I'm in a local Spring Fair and have been soooo busy working on new items that I haven't had time to post! I figured a Saturday morning was a good time to play catch up.
These fabric pins were made with the BIG SHOT and the fancy flower folds die. I used some leftover fabric and felt and am happy with how they turned out. I wear one on my jean jacket and have received many compliments-yay!

PAPER WREATHS

I love making these paper wreaths and was thinking of selling them at an upcoming fair I'm working on. What do you think?

This smaller wreath uses the beautiful Stampin' Up Springtime Vintage DSP, which is gorgeous in person!
The larger wreath uses non-SU paper in shades of black/white & grey.

Robby & Teddy's class Valentines

I used the heart sweet treat cups and added gummy worms and the inside holds a heart shaped lollipop. I used Cherry Cobbler paper and Designer Series Paper from the Filled with Love Promotion.

I always loved making class treats for my kids-unfortunately those days are long gone :( my kids are 19 and 14 and believe me I sent my daughter with valentine treats as long as I possibly could! Finally, when she saw me getting my goodies out to make them when she was 13 she finally said, Mom, I'm sorry but I think I'm too old to bring in Valentines! Luckily I have coworkers with young kids who take pity on me and let me "borrow" their kids and make Valentines for them, lol!

Easter Blossoms

I've been having so much fun playing with my
new stamp set from the Occasions Mini! Love
this set. May make this my swap for the upcoming Regionals. Question is, which color??

sense of time clock

I fell in the love with the clock on the cover of the 2010-2011 Idea Book and Catalog & was inspired to try to create one. I still like the one on the cover better, but all in all am happy with how this came out. I have the notably ornate stamp on order and am sure I will make another one of these closer to the cover.

PPA76

Made this Valentines Day card for the Paper Pals Arts Challenge.

SCIC35

I am participating in the Stampin' Celebration challenge this week. Please see the inspiration picture for the challenge. I immediately thought of the heart treat cups for this challenge-they are not just for Valentine's Day. Hope you like it!

ribbon wreath

I have been wanting to make a ribbon wreath ever since I saw it in the awesome idea book and catalog (page 190). while it does take quite a bit of ribbon, it is something you will have forever and makes quite a statement!

valentine's day

quick and easy using well scripted and the full heart punch!

tile coasters

i made several sets of four stamped tumbled tile coasters for Christmas gifts this year and they seemed to go over well. One of my favorite sets to use on tiles was Welcome Christmas. I stamped it in Staz-On and colored it in with watercolor pencils. I then added two coats of sealer to protect it from liquids. Now, I just need to make some for myself :)

Valentine's Day

I just now saw my first post (yes it was from 12/7) and I am soooo unbelievably excited because it is from the amazing Ann Schach of The Stampin' Schach!!!! Mind you I am not a stalker, but I do look at her blog daily (ok maybe several times a day, lol) and can't believe she found her way to my little blog and she commented :) Ok, I'm calm now-I love Valentines Day cards and one of my favorite sets is Elements of Style. I used the full heart punch to make this non-traditional card. Have a good day.

st. patrick's day

I am participating in a swap on stampin' connection-a great place for demonstrators to go for inspiration. One of the things I love about it is it's a great way to meet people from all over the country! I love to participate in swaps-in fact, I am in so many I think I need to slow down a little :) I made this card for a monthly swap and the theme was st. patrick's day. It is a punch art swap-where you have to use stampin' up punches on your card. It is so easy to make a shamrock with the full punch. I love the embossing folders used in this as well. Hope you like it.
