I had some left over drop cloth from the curtains I made so I decided to make a Halloween pillow. I used the SU Alphabet Die as a stencil for the lettering. I didn't have fabric paint and actually just used a sharpie paint pen. I just printed a raven image out, cut it out and traced it on the pillow. I also just used hot glue turning it inside out. Happy crafting!

No Sew Burlap Pillow Autumn Accents
I just received the Autumn Accents Die and have been having so much fun creating home decor items and I haven't even started on cards yet! I ran the die through the Big Shot using SU's Adhesive sheets. As I don't sew, I hot glued the two sides then turned it out so you can't see that I don't sew and left the top open tied with jute so I can switch out the covers. I am already thinking of what I can do for Christmas with red burlap! Have a great day!

Fall Wreath
I finally had a chance to use my new Autumn Accents Big Shot Die and created this wreath inspired by the wreath in the SU Catalog. All paper is Stampin' Up! I started with a foam wreath from the Dollar Store, covered it in burlap and went to town cranking out the leaves. I love how it turned out. Happy Fall!

Thank you basket
I wanted to put together a little something to thank a very kind family who came to my daughters rescue when her car broke down. The nice thing about being an SU demo is I always have plenty of materials and ideas for just this reason! I made a set of birthday cards, a Hershey nugget tin and little jar, a Yankee candle (who doesn't love those!) and the new SU Holiday catalog, as I was told the mom enjoys crafting!

Stampin' Up! Convention
I was so excited to go on the Riverton Tour of SU. It is a beautiful building and I can't imagine working there. I was determined to get my picture taken with the SU rock. It sounds funny to think that we actually waited in line for this, but it is a must have photo op for SU demos.

One of the best things about Convention is meeting people from literally all over the world who happen to love creating as much as you do! Through the years I have taken so much inspiration from these 4 amazingly talented ladies and I was so blessed to not only meet them, but also get my picture with them! They all were just as kind and gracious as they appear on their blogs, check them out! For some reason I am unable to edit next to the final picture, but most stampers know who she is and she is just as amazing in person! Dawn from Dawns Stamping Thoughts and she swapped with me, woohoo!

Stampin' Up! Convention 2013
I'm back! Well I never really went away. I continue to be an SU Demonstrator, but neglected to devote the time to my blog because life got in the way, but I am determined to post at least once a week and will actually play catch up with things I have done, starting with...Convention! It has been a dream of mine to attend and what better year than the 25th Anniversary! I am in 3 organized swaps and also did general swaps.

Bottle cap necklaces

I am getting ready for my favorite season and with it comes all the great Craft Fairs. This is my second year at the Swamp Yankee Days Festival in Ashaway, RI and this year I am making bottle cap necklaces in addition to many Stampin' Up items. I used Stampin' Up crystal effects to adhere the various images-Ed Hardy, Angry Birds and Spongebob shown. The top photo also shows a box that is all over the web now using the Stampin' Up milk carton die. This was a gift for my nephew Brady. If you are local to RI, stop by the fair and say hi! It is 9/24/11 and 9/25/11 from 9-5 p.m.Vintage Vogue Pocket Card

I cased this from the fabulous Lorri Heiling www.stampingaddict.blogspot.com with a few changes-I used the vintage vogue stamp set for the pocket and embossed it to give it a little pop! This was a perfect birthday card for my 20 y.o. niece Breanna-you could also fit a gift card in the pocket, but cash also works :) Don't you love the little "levi" tag?

SIMPLY SOFT
I am so thankful that the vintage look is all the rage now as I love, love the style. I wanted to play with some new toys so I took out my brand spankin new stamp set called Simply Soft. It is so pretty and I can picture using it so many different ways. I used early espresso cardstock, cajun craze and whisper white. The DSP is from Paisley Petals and the flower was stamped in the new calypso coral, which goes awesome with cajun craze! I distressed the edges of the paper and used a sponge to blend espresso ink on the sides to give it that worn look. I also used a new embossing folder for the frame. Add a few pearls and voila! Enjoy!

SUNFLOWER SHADOW BOX
I can't believe it has been sooo long since my last post. Life has been a little busy lately, but included a well needed vacation to Arizona, so I can't complain. When I returned I had a wonderful sampling of new items from the IB & C and one of my absolute favorite stamps is the new Sunflower. My co-worker, Maureen, has accepted a new job and I wanted to make her a little something to wish her luck. She is Irish, so I found this great little Irish Blessing to include.
I stamped the sunflower in black staz-on, then used the blender pens and markers. I also used the large scallop punch for the center "flowers". She started crying when she opened it. One of the reasons I love giving handmade gifts is because it is from the heart & people appreciate it. Have a good day :)

VINTAGE VOGUE
CIRCLE CIRCUS

This is a set that I have not used very much and I have no idea why-I love it. The beautiful blue that you see is brand spanking new In Color in the new catalog premiering July 1, 2011 called Pool Party and trust me it is even prettier in person-don't you just love the name too? I also used an old stand by Vintage Vogue, which thankfully has not been retired. This is my invitation to my catalog premier party on July 9, 2011. If you live in the RI/CT area and would like to attend, send me an email-we would love to have you!
FLIRTATIOUS SPECIALTY DSP

I LOVE the bright pink color in this new designer series paper from the brand new catalog released July 1, 2011! The center lace is actually a 12 x 12 sheet of paper that you can cut into 36 pieces-it is also double sided if you want white. The lace on the side is a brand new lace punch and is quickly becoming my new favorite! Wait until you see the new catalog, you won't be disappointed. If you do not have a demonstrator and would like a catalog, feel free to email me! Have a good day.
PETAL CONE ICE CREAM CONE

These ice cream cones are all over the web and I just love them! I participate in a monthly punch art swap and this month's theme was summertime-what is more appropriate than an ice cream cone! I used the large scallop punch to create the top and cut them in half. I am very happy with how it turned out. The DSP is a sneak peek from the new catalog -(notice the purple :)

WISTERIA WONDER
anyone who knows me knows I LOVE purple-my bedroom is purple, etc. When Stampin' Up! retired several light purples, I was bummed! Now, I am happy as they brought back the most beautiful color purple-like a shade of lilac and it coordinates perfectly with concord crush. This card uses brand new designer series paper and the wisteria wonder cardstock and ink. Hopefully will work on some more new projects to show! If you live in the area and would like to come to my open house, send me an email. I would love to have you.
IT'S HERE IT'S HERE
That is all I am going to show you. It officially doesn't post until July 1, 2011, but I received the o.k. to give out the advanced order catalogs to my customers on 6/20/11. You will NOT be disappointed, it is amazing! Lots of new stamps, embellishments, designer paper is to die for! I am planning an open house in July where we will case projects from the new catalog. More to come on that later.

My father's shadow box

My dad is very supportive in all that I do, but especially supportive of my stampin' up! demo, as he knows how much joy it brings me. I wanted to make him a little thank you for always being there and put together this shadow box. My dad is on the left in his airforce uniform and with his mom on the right. He loved it!
